Has been MIA through no fault of his own. His computer is sadly not expected to survive, so until he can get a new one he won't be posting on here. He is fine and misses not being here with us. Some of you may have seen him lurking, which he can do with his phone, he can read the forums but when he tries to post from his phone it won't load his msg. He is trying to get his other laptop up and running.

I have talked with tigger a few times since his computer died. There may be a possibility of him getting one of his other computers working (he has more than one dead laptop). He will be doing his best to get back here asap.

Todays Tigger update. Tigger is on a ship in the gulf. He is flying in and out of Afghanistan on medical runs, while also giving shots for the swine flu.

I'll post more as I recieve it. Keep him in your thoughts.

Jeromy and i are down at his parents for 2 weeks. we were going to go to the beach for a week but that storm ended that so we are just going tn stay here.

Got a e mail from Sarah last night. tigger called her. he will be working in a field hosp. giving the troops the shots for the swine flu. she said he will be there for the next cupple of days. so he will have no way of comunicating till gets back to the ship

To answer a questiom. yes the marines do have combat medics. back in the early 90s they had a program to teach marines to be medics. but it was ended in 93. tigger and jeromy are boalth combat medics. tigger is with a recon unite and jeromy is with a infentry unite..

No word yet. he must still be out in the field. Jeromy told me that only at risk and wounded troops are getting thd flu shots. someone healthy does not need it. Jeromy and his dad are out on the boat again. im at the house with his mom. she is nitting a hous or something? lol

Just recieved this from Missy; "Matt emailed Amanda last night when he returned to the ship, then slept for 12 hrs straight. They ran out of flu shots and may not be able to get more. He will be flying med flights in and out of Afghanistan again. He emailed Amanda a photo of him tending to a cut on the foot of a 3 yr old Afghanistan girl and she was holding on to his nose. Amanda said it was so cute. I tried to post this morning but it wouldnt let me, if you would, that would be great!"

Unfortunatly for us, he has sent some photos back but has requested that they not be posted until he returns home and goes through them .

I just recieved an email frm Tigger. He said to tell everyone "Hi" He just finished working an 18 hour shift. He can send and receive email. If anyone wants to send him an email please don't include any attachments, just short quick messages. His computer access is limited to 5 minutes.

Got a call from Tigger today, he is well but has been working his butt off and has a lot of flight time in already. It's not hammered in stone yet, but he still thinks he will be home on or around Oct. 8th. Guess they really need him at work now, he says things started to really pick up. More news as I get it.

I don't know why, but at times she has problems posting any info about Tigger, so as soon as I get it you guys will have it also. I for one, miss him; hope he has a smooth trip home.

Leave it to Mother Nature to screw things up. I just got off the phone with Tigger and he is now headed to ""American Samoa" where he will have no phone contact until his work is finished. Hopefully it won't be for a long time. He will contact me when he can and then I'll let you all know what is up. "God Bless our service men and women."

Members; I just received this email from Missy.

"Tigger was injured yesterday. He was helping remove a body and some wood fell which he got caught up in, along with some others. He will be alright and was able to walk back to the aid tent. He has a broken nose and 8 stitches in his arm. That's all we know for now. By the time you read this, he will be on his way home.

Just got an update from Missy;

"Tigger is in Hawaii right now, he will be flying into Miramar Marine base in CA. in the morning. Along with his broken nose he has 2 broken teeth, a cut on his chin and the cut on his arm which required the stitches.

They must have been using heavy machinery to help move things while looking for victims. A backhoe operator knocked over a wall on to all 4 of the guys working. One of the other guys got both of his legs broken. He will be home in a few days also."

That's one tough ol' man. All in the name of helping others...

Got a call from Tigger today, he is sore as hell but is back in the States now. He is in California and will be there until Friday receiving medical treatment for his injuries. Then he will have a week off and will be on a camping trip with his daughter.

Got a call from Tigger today. He is in Atlanta at his sisters house, feeling much better and will head home tomorrow. Then he will take a day off to relax and get his body accliamated to the time change, then he is off camping for a week.

Tiggers tour for now is over. He will still have his reserve time to do, but his overseas time is all done. He will be headed out camping with his daughter by the time you read this. Then they will assemble the team all together again and all will return to doing what they do best.
