I think that's a good for her. I seem to recall her mentioning weighing options either here or maybe in an interview before. If this is where her heart and head tell her to go, so be it. Whether with Ms Alison's retirement and pursuit of a fresh start and new career, or Ms Danielle's balancing her site with her education, family and friends, or with Ms Lia's decision to move to Vivid and, I guess, hardcore, they all have my respect. Hi everybody, I know some of you maybe confused about the news, but maybe explaining where I was coming from might help with your concerns. Please understand I am not running away from my brand or FTV. FTV is my comfort zone and my family so it stepping away isn’t the easiest thing. (even if its because of bettering my career) I told Rob about my decision before the press release because I respect what we have done together and how far we have come. Wanted him to hear it from me and not by reading it online. Plus I thought he would be happy for me. I have gone above and beyond when it comes to being true to my brand and a model you can count on and trust. Plus he is on work overload and Lia19.com is not something that is a priority. Which is understandable. But I need to think about what I want to do. I think everybody wants me just to stay put and be ok with staying level that I have reached. This industry in front or behind the lens is what I want to do for a very long time. And it is time I moved on to the next level. Lia19.com isn’t about advancing. I need to do what’s right for me. Nobody takes care of me but me. Plus I haven’t remembered the last time I was so excited about something. Vivid is awesome and doesn’t want to put any issues between my site and me. I sorta figured something was up since you haven't been around here for a long while. Vivid is the most recognized name in adult films, so becoming one of their contract girls is quite an accomplishment. The move to hardcore might cost you some of your fans, but you have to do what's best for you, even if it means leaving the comfort of Lia19. You're a great girl and I wish you all the best.

The Eddie they're referring to is Eddie Coates and he's a real a-hole from what I've read. He claims to have some Hardcore footage of Lia and has been trying to sell it for years. As far as I know, it's never surfaced anywhere so it's probably complete BS.

Reading the press release again it seems like no real credit is given to Rob's undeniable talent. It's all about Lia, her web presence and "the brand" she has created out of herself. I understand the press release is all about Lia and Vivid, but I still wanted to remind how it actually happened:

I personally think her brand (if you can call Lia a brand) has been built by Rob to a very large extent. We all know the work ethics and standards he has, and the meticuosly controlled quality at FTV. Of course Lia has worked hard as a model and with her own site, and she has assisted Rob for many years. She has a great personality and has been interacting with her members a lot when she was still active at her site. But her success and brand does not solely come from herself. She doesn't exist in vacuum. It's Rob that made her (and us, former members of her website). And for that, I'd like to thank you Rob. You gave Lia wings to fly.

With her own wings now she can do whatever she chooses to do. I'm a long-time fan of Lia, and will remain that way. I wish you, Lia, all the best with your future career. Go on girl! Fly high!

While many pornstars, especially the young newcomers, go to the dogs in this business easily, I do think strong women CAN survive it.
I believe Lia IS such a strong woman and thought about this step thoroughly. She's old enough do know when to say "No!" and I'm sure she has her share of contacts who tell her about the Dos and Don'ts. I'm pretty sure she was able to put some of her own conditions into the contract she made with Vivid, including the room to continue her own website.

I'll let my subscription to Lia's site run for at least a while. I still haven't seen all of her updates. (That may take another year or so, at my current rate of watching. )

That's a great idea. When I was still a member at Lia's site I was wondering why the updates had been disorganized. I mean, they are not in cronological order. I think the updates at Alison's site (as compared to Lia's) are better organized.

I just logged on to Alison's site and realized that Rob has already done the above mentioned change there: updates are now organized in cronological order so that the first updates are first, and the latest (last) updates at the bottom of the page. So, it's reversed to what it used to be. However, I think it works well.

If you do the same at Lia's site, I think it will be pretty good too. I'm not a member of Lia's currently so I have no way of knowing when it will be re-organized or if it already has been...
