I spent 20 years in the US Air Force and, from age 20-26 years old, lived in Tokyo (3 years) and on the island of Taiwan (3 years). I married a Chinese girl there and brought her home with me. WE lasted 14 years before a Navy Guy stole her away from me.

An Air Force? Tell me more. Having been a Naval Aviator I was not aware there was an "Air Force".
