There was a film on the BBC recently by Louis Theroux in which he revisited some of the companies and people he'd interviewed some years before in the major centres of the industry in the USA. What 'seems' to be killing it is the amount of material on the web.

Right Tom~ and: Most of which is redundant, garbage, and stolen free content. The industry may be waning, everything does at some point - it's a function of the natural business cycle - while the cream, like Danielle, rises. People seek the quality and value that is found here among very few other venues.
