How the Update Chronology is Figured Out

If you've noticed, an FTV update carries anywhere from 1-6 days before the next update appears. How is this determined? (A lot of you were asking about this):

A '6 day update' -- To me, the girl was perfect, great looks, personality, comprehensive shoot, real orgasms, adventure, all in all what I consider a great FTV shoot. Recent example eg. Ileana, Monica

A '5 day update' -- Same as above, just a little shorter in content overall, or something just a little missing in my eyes. Recent example eg. Isobel

A '4 day update' -- The girl wasn't as cute in my opinion, the orgasms maybe weren't as nice, or I just know members will not like her as much, or shot by contributing photographer. Recent example eg. Taryn, Gabby

A '3 day update' -- The update was much shorter, or the masturbation scene just didn't work out, or the girl simply wasn't up to par. Eg. Jamee, Phoebe

A '2 day update' -- Extremely rare, just a shoot I could not accept as FTV quality, or the girl really just wasn't meant to be on FTV whatsoever. Eg. Desiree

A '1 day update' -- Chances are it would not appear on FTV at all, and remain on the hard drive for nobody to see.

I aim for the 5/6 day update types, because that is what keeps members happy, and hold their own well through that week. But I never know what to expect when a model appears. On extremely rare occasions, I do have a 7-day update, like the Alexa Loren one, because it was such a comprehensive adventure (sometimes taking a weeks' worth of shooting into one update).

My biggest gripe has been that many who don't know FTV well, (including FTV haters and site reviewers) say FTV doesn't update enough etc... Well I could play the trick of splitting a 6 day update up into 6 parts, then it would be an update every day... and the content being added would be equivalent to my competitors. In some ways I say my competitors are smart for splitting their updates up to much smaller parts, as it creates the 'illusion' of more updates -- but I tend to believe the more quality-based hardcore fans of FTV understand the difference.

I've actually seen single-girl sites where the members' area content is equivalent to one FTV update loooooolllll

Hey Rob!

Thanks for explaining your update schedule. I've often wondered why one model will remain for several days while another is gone quickly. For example, "Phoebe" was up, and gone, in about a day or two. Some of the forum members complained and, BANG, she was replaced by another girl - Miyu, I think!

Frankly, I would be overwhelmed if you updated daily. It takes my SLOW DSL line quite a while to download the clips. I prefer having a few days to copy everything from an update.

Keep up the good work! The "haters" are just jealous of your success.

I guess reviewers who complain about the FTV update rate like seeing the exact same scenes just with different names attached. Each FTV scene is a personal exploration of the model's sexuality not just a quick vid and some pics to just throw some T&A at the members.

funny thing, a bad FTV update is still better produced that any other sites good update. the quality of video, photos are much better. and the quantity of each update is huge. i mean there is hour(s) of material with each update. and there is nowhere near that amount from any other sites update. and if Rob would divide the material, yes we could have an update everyday but how annoying would that be? i just can't see why the reviewers could complain. now if they were looking for different type of content, then maybe but that is just a matter of what the site offers. but as a reviewer you don't go review a musical and complain about there not being a good actions scene/fight scene or visa versa. so again, i can't see why they would complain.

Seriously, I'm actually glad FTV doesn't update every day. Sometimes it takes me three or four days to download everything. If Rob updated more often, I'd never be able to keep up. I barely can now!

I say f- the review sites. FTVGirls is the first site I ever joined and the only site that I ever renewed. I went to several "review" sites and saw that they had sites with ratings that were much higher that FTV and their content was complete crap. So, I don't trust them anymore and rely on my own feelings.
