Tips
I figured a general thread for random tips we could offer each other might come in handy.
To kick that off, and the thing that made me think of it this AM, I'd like to offer this: If you have hay fever, consider taking a spoonful of honey--local honey--once a day. Its important that it is local honey because the bees will have been hanging around your local flower beds, getting pollen all over themselves, then taking it back to the hive, so it gets into the honey (I understand--I'm not 100% sure of this, but it seems to work), and when you eat the honey, it gets into you so you build up an immunity or resistance & have less trouble with allergies. Also, honey's a natural antibiotic so I actually use it on cuts, too, rather than the fancy-schmancy store-bought stuff, and if I have a sore throat, it seems to do a better job than most lozenges, &c. (with one exception--a spray anesthetic). |
