What's your ride??
Mine is my baby. Bought her brand new with cash, 2001 "Chebby Silverado 1500 extended cab". Stock everying except the ol' lady step running boards I have put on it. These pics are 2 days after it was delivered and on day 1, I had the matching camper shell put on it. I also placed a nice shag carpet on the bed in the shell so nothing slides back and forth. Please post a pic of your sled.

I would say that is beautiful, WhyYou !!
So simple to wood base, type those that they are seen in the mountains or countries. I like to live in those so simple and normal houses. I live in a building from 7 plains (Me to the second ). And they are expensive. But I hate to live in the mean of the traffic and chaos. And that noises,.... |

Well my ride is nothing to brag about just a 1994 Ford escort.Went with something the got "Better" gas milage then was I was drving before. But if the subject was your Favorite ride you ever had. Then it would have been my 1971 Pontiac lemans which the body style looks alot like the GTO's with only a few minor differences.Gotten it for $600 due to the last owner had it torn down and non running. My baby brother who is good with cars had rebuilted the engine.
After the rebuilt it ran like a bat out of Hell.On a trip from Ft.Worth to Waco some joker in a Mustang decided he wanted a race end up losing. Was going 100 MPH and still was neck and neck and was only halfway down the petal. My brother who was driving at the time goose the petal and made the nose of the car raise up indicating the lemans still had alot left over...he decided to back off. (LOL) End up getting rid of the car cause the frame crack on it twice due to the engine having so much torque.Would had kept it if I could have afford to properly reinforced the frame. To this day I still regret getting rid of it.

How's this for a ride--a 21-speed Mongoose Scorch mountain bike. I gave up my driver's license a few years back (voluntary) and if where I need to get is within a 4-5 mile round-trip, I'll either ride or, more likely, walk pushing my little niece in a stroller. If the distance is beyond that, I usually get a lift with my brother who drives an -'03 Dodge Ram pickup, I think. I'm not 100% on the year. There's also a bus that runs by behind me, and another that runs a block or so in front of me, so I have those options, too, but I'm diabetic (T2), so the way I see it, and since I can always use a little more exercise, its "use 'em or lose 'em" as far as my legs go. Oh, and just a couple blocks from me there's this wicked cool park, part manicured greens with baseball & soccer fields (I've even seen folks out there playing cricket, on occasion), but there's also a large space that was left centered around a hill that is largely wild but which has a cool open gazebo halfway up, a bike path that runs in a figure 8 between the hill's peaks plus some narrow hiking trails. There are rabbits up there (jacks as well as cottontails), lots of ground squirrels, scrub jays, and there's some red-tailed hawks that have made their home on the southern peak. The hill, in fact most of the surrounding hills, are the left-overs from an old lava flow. About 3-7 miles below me there's a decent sized magma chamber bubbling. Last spring, we had a couple earthquake swarms that shook things up a bit, but I spent most of my life living in N. Calif within miles of the San Andreas so what the heck--none were as big as the Loma Prieta quake--that wasn't fun. Speaking of quakes and faults, though, my avatar's actually a photo I took right around Winter Solstice 1991 at Bodega Head. Where I was standing was on the Pacific Plate, while a couple yards behind me was the North American Plate--there's a spot where you can stand and straddle the plates on the San Andreas, or maybe it was a fault that branched off from the S.A. I can never remember, but I think it was the grande dame of California faults.

As for me, My daily driver is an 01 Ford Escape (with 215,000 miles!), but my toy is a 1973 Mustang I've had since high school (if you know these, it's where my "handle" comes from). It's in decent shape, but needs some work. I haven't driven it in 7 years |

Nope...gawd I wish. Unfortunately with financing and since I didn't try to lower the price at all (since I'm a newbie at buying cars) the price came out to $37,000. Took me a year to figure out something was wrong with that price.

If a car saleman told me that I'll be paying $37,000 for a Cobalt I would be telling him to go kiss my Exhaust pipe.

Ouch!! Sorry to hear that your Cobalt cost so much. Some car salesmen will do whatever it takes to make a sale, and cash in on their commissions. On the bright side is that you gained knowledge about the whole "car buying" experience, so you will be able to hold out for a better deal next time you purchase a vehicle. Gotta keep a positive outlook on everything
I have a red 1987 Chevrolet Camaro Iroc, and a red 2008 Ford Ranger FX4. The truck was my first time buying a new vehicle, and it was pretty nerve wracking. I learned a lot too. |

Wow Rob, I didn't know you had an SLR McLaren! Way Cool! Could you please possibly post some interior and engine compartment shots? I sure could use some detail photos.
The Nissan GT-R is a great car. The one-horse town I live in has a high-end used car dealership (they had a Lambo similar to yours too!) and I was looking at one in their showroom. It's the second one they have had. I've never seen one at any of the local Nissan dealers. A salesman told me that they ordered it two years in advance! What's the story with the little Veyron? Is it an R/C car? Who made it? |

I am a real big car guy, but I don't own one. I also know how some of them work. The cars my parents have are awful. I will only buy a car with manual transmission, so I am looking at the Honda S2000 or Something that gets good fuel economy, because manual transmission cars get better fuel economy, and when I have one, I will drive the car, the car won't drive itself.
