Yes comics are short. I like them because I'm able to read dozens of stories in a short time. You are a fast reader, so I can only assume you would go through hundreds of issues in a single day. Reading a single issue and waiting 30 days for the next issue in the series is can be a long wait for an entire story arc to end.
