Locking Threads for no apparent reason???
Why are some threads being hidden/locked for no apparent reason? Are there new new rules or more censorship here now? I mean this is a PORN forum, so kinda hard to make sense of censorship.
The following seem to be locked for no reason: The Members Have Spoken... FTVX Pamela FTVGirls Alison / alisonangel.com Question thread for Rob Last edited by Raymond; 02-19-2010 at 02:10 PM. |

I hope the person locking the threads has a sense of humor and locks this one.

but look at even this thread, its a complaint thread. The biggest reason why I didn't open a message board for ftv since I started the site was for the fact that people are mostly good and complaining and not discussing (and especially those who have extra time on keyboards).

Rob,
Sometimes people need to vent. Members care. I try not to write anything negative but as a human I have emotions about things I like. I really like this site. Somebody bumps my car I want to kill them but really it's just a car. Once a thread become to negative just don't read anymore. I'm sure it's better that I have a place to say "show more toes" than just saying to myself damn where are the toes and quitting the site. What if members just start dropping and you don't know why. You gotta take the good with the bad and keep the threads open. Alison is an interesting exception. Does she really think ending a thread will erase her past. Rob love you man. |

This rant isn't directed against the OP or anyone in particular, it is my general opinion.
I think locking some threads or deleting certain posts is a good thing when they become focus points for irrationally negative posts. The FTVx thing is a good example, the reasoning for those updates has been explained, Rob's opinion of the quality of those updates has been explained, yet STILL people feel the need to complain about it, when the answer is real simple, if you don't like those updates, don't look at them. Pamela's thread is another example of irrational negativity. So she wasn't perfect, what was Rob supposed to do about it? Ship her off to Siberia? People need to be a little realistic about things things before they post sometimes, these are real women and yes, sometimes they do have scars, or tattoos, maybe she looks a little too skanky, or a little too much/too little body fat or something else the poster doesn't like, but really guys, is it THAT important. Once the model has arrived, unless the whole package is so flawed that she is useless, it is still a business and Rob still needs to shoot her. Just wait for the next update if the current model doesn't do it for you, you don't need to tell us about it, especially people don't need to to tell us that that particular model is why they are thinking about canceling or whatever. It is not like Pamela was a hag or anything, maybe she had some little flaw that needed to be concealed, so what. When I see posts like that I think W...T....F....get a life dude. One of the great things about FTV is that we get to see a wide diversity of real women here, there is no cookie cutter involved. People just need to understand that before posting and realize that not everything that appears here is going to be something they like. |

I don't know, in my mind there is a difference between discussing what people liked or disliked about a model/update/shoot in a thread and complaining. I'm sure if the people dislike something that match, they'd email Rob about it, ala FTVx updates.
I guess I just don't think every post or thread has to be with rose colored glasses about how great every single thing FTV does is. |

I like that part ^^^^, if we didn't have extra time on the keyboards, FTV search wouldn't be on the Internet, thanks Raymond, and Web Cam transcripts would be on here as well, also if we didn't have extra time on key boards, we wouldn't be looking at FTV as we wouldn't have the time.
Also I wouldn't have told WhyYou, how to help stop PM spamming on the forum, who then asked you to use the information I passed on to him. Last edited by Enigma; 02-20-2010 at 09:28 PM. |

Another idea: what about deleting complaint/hating posts/threads... and then banning insistent hate posters? Yes, sounds like "Paradise-Wonderland-out-of-censorship", but it will effectively make the forum easier and sweeter to hang around. Just my 2 pennies.

I don't think many people here hand out much in internet forums, because I have to say this is the most laid back forum I’ve ever been on.
I’ve got a beautifully restored 1970 VW Beetle, but like most older cars it needs attention now and then. I hang out at a forum for VW enthusiasts and you would think that a bunch of former hippies would be an easy group to hang with… but I swear it seems like every 3rd or 4th thread turns into a flame war. (even so I considered that one a tame forum until I came here lol) Heck, even the comments on YouTube are way more harsh than anything I’ve seen here. No one is going to like every girl on FTV, that’s a given. BUT we are all paying to see these girls because we get to see beautiful women doing their thing, and every now and then there is one that just blows your socks off! I think Tasha going to be one of those – at least for me. |

Deleting posts and threads is a judgement call and can be more trouble than it's worth. It's really hard to draw a line for what is bad enough and what can be left alone. We will attempt to keep things toned down and will hand out infractions or bans if necessary. But if YOU get an infraction or even get banned, just remember that someone had to make a hard decision.

But DAMN! If I say I like a girl and express what I think would be hot in the next shoot, I become the topic! Really not necessary. Don't comment on what I wrote, Especially when it's all positive. Look at the Hayley thread. I think she's hot. Would love to see her come back. Next post is about me and what I wrote. WHY? That's how threads go bad. Making them personal.
