May I respectively suggest you refer to history. A good beginning would be the study of Lyndon B. Johnson and the book, "A Texan Looks at Lyndon" by J. Evetts Haley. There are also more recent Texans worth studying in the same regard. It's not who votes nor how many times they vote, it's the winning that counts. Always the win.

It's called "popularity"!
