The car has three different modes: Standard, Handling and Top Speed mode. Not only does the driving mode affect the position of the rear wing, but in addition the ride height of the car and front diffuser flap position. The wing also functions as an air brake but only at speeds above 200 km/h.
The wing can be manually deployed (Handling mode) or it is automatically deployed at speeds above 220 km/h, as the Standard mode is automatically changed to Handling mode. Also, the wing is deployed if certain parameters are met during Top Speed mode. (By default the wing is in down position during Top Speed mode driving. Braking and steering over certain limits will cuase the change to Handling mode, and thus deploy the rear wing).
