Poll - Last Name
Which last name do you guys prefer for me?
|
While Jones is a great name, I think Delaunay stands out more - and fits your beauty better. Jones makes me think of hat, whip and archeology. ;)
|
By the way everyone Delaunay is pronounced dee-lawn-a ("a" as in bake). It's kind of French exotic sounding. I like Jones because it is an all American name...which kind of describes my look.

as someone who has an unusual last name (well, if read in its language of origin it will be properly pronounced) i think Jones would be a better choice for a stage name/profesional name. it makes it easy to pronounce, remember, spell, etc. easier for fans to follow.

Hmm.. not at all sure about "Jones", bit boring. Here's a few off the top of my head:
Danielle DeMarco Danielle Deronda (alliteration helps the memory) Danielle Xavier Danielle Adorne Danielle Primera ...this could go on for ages. I'd better stop.:) |
"A rose by any other name would smell as sweet..." :)
|
I like CK1's suggestion
Rose. Danielle Rose.
It gives me a warm feeling inside. But enough of that! :D Danielle Delaunay? Nice too, but wouldn't that become shortened to DD? I do like Danielle Rose. Mark |

Porn surname R&D
Hi Dani,
In the past I've written you privately about the issue of a surname, but I thought I would offer a summary here for the sake of your fans, in light of the fact you recently requested that we to participate in, or comment upon, ALL of your old polls. I first encountered you just as you had settled on using Delaunay. Among the reasons I disliked your final choice was the fact that an (obscure) professional singer was already using the identical name. I favored the surname Boom/Boum for simiplicity, as well as for reasons relating to the special features of your physique. And as I eventually could document, there is also a famous love song from Jazz Age France of that title (French karaoke version here, English version here), which would have requited your francophile side just as well as does your own choice. It even includes audio "motorboarding"! ;) Finally, anyone thinking about creating a stage name for porn work should check out two videos. The first is a short comedy clip here from the now-classic Mad TV show. The second is a serious hour-long 2003 Canadian documentary titled Fluffy Cumsalot, Porn Star, described at IMDb here. It features interviews with 70 then-famous porn players and examines how they chose their own names, including some discussion of vital considerations when undertaking this important career decision. Last I checked, it was hard to find a copy to buy. This means that, sadly, an illicit source might be the only one available! |
