Oh, and for the record, you aren't fat. I know; I'm fat. There's an old saying, "Takes one to know one." Well, since I'm fat I know fat, and you ain't it, Danielle. But I can understand wanting to keep fit and maybe tone up a bit. I do a (very) little yoga & (more) tai chi to help ease my nerves and decompress, try to swim when I can (the best thing ever--you get breath control plus something akin to tai chi in the water, so you have the movements plus resistance & rep training--I am biased though). Heavy lifting or really strenuous activity are out for me, but there are other routes to take. Hope the day goes smooth for you & Rob--cheers

Not a worry. It occurred to me when you mentioned being told not to eat after six, chances were that your trainer was basing that on the "normal" time folks go to bed, and after seeing how late you were editing your pages or answering messages, it seemed likely that there was a bit of a mix-up. The important things are to stop eating a few hours before you go to bed, and that you try and go to bed at about the same time so you can get up about the same time and establish that rhythm that allows for REM sleep which is where your body does most of its healing, after after working out and tearing down your muscles and burning off fat, your body needs time to decompress, clean out your cells and rebuild your muscles. BTW, I'm a tea drinker, too, and I've been told not to drink tea after noon (yeah, like that's gonna stop me, but I do switch to water usually by 2), so you might want to ease off tea or anything with caffeine probably around 5PM so that you're not so hyped up when you want to go to bed. Have a great day! Oh, and I saw the coming soon marquee at FTVGirls to this site--all I can say is "Ay, Caramba!" this place is going to get hopping and fast!

A link to the YouTube little frog video was posted here by mart. Here's the first link he posted:

I love those crazy frog videos!

The announcements required a time limit so I set them for a year. In the future I'll either extend the timeframe or just post new ones that will replace the ones that are up now. Most likely there will be more issues that will come up that I will need to add to the announcements. So I made text files that I can add to so that I can copy and paste any updates without rewriting the whole thing. It's always best to plan ahead.

BTW...the new "suit" is my "Admin" title. Something wasn't working right with "Moderator" so Rob upgraded me. I don't have full administrator powers but I have more than just moderator powers. But I have what I need to get the job done. I'll be able to help keep this message board running smoothly.

No worries, eh? And no one's perfect, although some are closer than others! Seriously though, Edward makes a good point about sodas. I forget if it was last year or earlier this year my doctor had mentioned something about a study that had just come out that seemed to show a correlation between soda & weight, I think having to do with slowing metabolism. And, that study showed no difference between diet or regular soda. It doesn't make much difference to me since soda's something I avoid (I'm a water & tea drinker, with some 100% juice), but reading Edward's message brought it to mind. For what its worth, a lot of it is just self-discipline, so I, and I'm sure others (i.e., Why You--I saw he left a post somewhere in here to the same effect as I), will keep reminding you about your diet from time to time. There was one other thing that got me thinking--you're more of a night owl than I, so the whole thing about not eating after 6 might not be right for you. I'm in bed usually by 10 or 11, and up shortly after 6AM, so I try not to eat much after 6 or 7PM; if you go to bed more like 12!M or 1AM and get up more like 11AM, then eating even as late as say 8 or 9 might still work for you--you just want to try to leave somewhere around 4 hours between your last meal & bedtime, that way you maximize the time you have to digest & burn off some of those calories. Anyway gotta dash, so have a good day & good night. See ya on the flip side (whatever that means--got it from Wolfman Jack many, many years ago--Arrr-ooooo!).

Do what i do. Eat what you want, and work out more. In the past i've given up coke, pepsi, etc, when i want to lose weight. Usually if i go for a bike ride around 7 at night, i don't really feel like eating so much, just drinking. But if you exercise regularly, you can eat.

This is your friendly reminder: Please, stop eating big meals after 6PM. Unless you're getting a good workout after 6, it just goes to your tummy & thighs and sabotages your fitness routine & health. And speaking of Sabotage, that was a really cool Beasty Boys song back in the day! Fill up at breakfast with whole grain cereal, get some protein in you a couple hours later, and then wind down with a light dinner. Have a great day!

I've never tried moose either. If I had to guess, I'd assume its something like venison which I used to eat growing up (I loved venison sausage!). I assume elk must taste similar, too (yet another of those meats the butcher has). I was a vegetarian for several years (which wasn't hard since I had trouble eating meat when I was little), but "was seduced by and succumbed to" a Philly cheese-steak one day (insert Homer Simpson-esque hungry sound here). The weird thing was that I generally do better eating a balance of veggies, cereals & meats than I did as a vegetarian. Besides, since I wear leather, even buffalo or deer-hide moccasins sometimes, I should at least try to make sure more of the animal goes to a good use than is wasted. More of growing up in Colorado, maybe, plus the influence of some American Indian friends from long ago.
