New suit??? Hmmm...haven't seen it. BTW I saw the funniest youtube video of a little frog thing. He was riding an invisible motorcycle and making funny noises. Good job on the "Read This Before Posting" anouncement.

I admit to knowing NOTHING about forums, boards, chat rooms, etc. Just how did YOU become a moderator and what connection do you have to Rob and Danielle? Does every thing you do have to go through them first? Not just anyone can jump in and take control of what, I'm sure, will become a very popular forum once it goes public. Thanks!

Thanks WhyYou. I remember you from Alison's site. I was more of a reader there than a poster. I just post favorite picks from time to time. I am gonna migrate over here permanetly. Poor Ugo, he's the only one posting anything in Alison's forum.

Neat! I can't do the compression on my feet, but when I go swimming now, I use a compression cuff to hold my knee together. After about 20 years unable to get in the water without my knee dislocating, I can now swim again. That's freedom for me; I hadn't entirely realized just how much I missed the water until I swam my first length 3 or 4 years ago. Now what gets to me is how slow I am, how sloppy my strokes are, and how quickly I get tired. I'm lucky if I can go 15 to 20 minutes now; when I was younger, practice was MWF 5-7:30PM and Sat 8-11 with meets ever couple of weeks. One of the guys I swam with then still swims on a master's team in Phoenix with a coach who had some Olympic experience. Mark was the best, so its not that surprising, really. On the plus side, the cuff and the baggy trunks I wear today give me a good workout when you consider the drag they create, so maybe I'm doing better than I give myself credit for? Yeah, and I saw a pig flying the other day, right next to Santa and the tooth faerie. Truth is, I only managed to get down to the pool maybe 4 times this year, but that was better than last year--I think I made it down there once in '07, that's all. Ups and downs, strike and gutters and all that ...

Hey WhyYou, I was playing with my niece this afternoon and something occurred to me. With my diabetes and former water weight problem (I'm on furosemide for that, as well as to decrease the amount of sodium in my system; plus I was taken off one med that increased water weight and put on something else, blah, blah, blah), the point is, I had to make a number of changes to protect my feet and one of those changes was wearing diabetic socks. I don't know if you know about them or use them, but instead of having elastic at the top, they're knit in a way that helps hold them up *better than elastic, I think) without binding or constricting, so my blood flows smoothly. I've tried a number of different brands and for me Dr. Scholl's diabetic socks with the padded sole work best. Its just food for thought. Thanks again for earlier!
