I noticed you changed your avatar to a target Silhouette. Do you like target shooting or is there another meaning? I read part of your consversation with Mart and was wondering if the slump housing in market has affected you very much?

I have managed to make a pretty good living doing woodwork. I don't even have business cards since the only time I had to look for work was 20 yrs ago when I first moved to CO. Its a good life & there is alot of freedom being an independent contractor. I'm sure its different in the UK, but over here you are your own boss, and we carry all our tools in our trucks, and are totally mobile. When I want time off for whatever, I just let folks know to not schedule me for any work.

Thanks i'm so glad she wasn't hurt. Yes i would call you a chippie, one who makes and fits all timber fittings in a house and i'm damn sure your a good chippie at that.

In one of your posts you mentioned your were an interior trim carpenter. In my country we have joiners who obviously do all timber joinery work aka chippies and i'm also a qualified joiner which i don't really do anymore, apart from homework. Just wondering if you were saying that you are also a carpentry joiner. Just curious as to thinking we maybe in a similar trade lol. Although i work in a sawmill, we do have a joinery shop for making window frames, doors, doorframes and all basic formwork.

Glad you've a better connection speed now my friend. I'm ok thanks, but i did have a stupid accident at work. I fell between two packs of timber because i was stupid enough to climb up. If you fancy a read it's all on the "anything under the sun" thread.
