Well that was a crazy round of golf lol. Yes he soon suused out it was a joke ball, so to be fair we all took turns in using one. So our scorecards went of the windows. We usually like to play competitively meaning we all like to win the round. So this round turned out purely for the fun of it. Which is usually the way i like to play anyway, i'm one of them guys who can never take anything seriously, just call me the joker lol. I remember a long time ago we had a young labourer and occasionally we use handsaws when it's only one of two lengths to cut in half and saves carrying them to the mill. I got one of our old blunt saws which was due for the bin, but i thought i'd play a joke on the lad and ground off what's left of the teeth on the saw. So it wouldn't cut butter lol. I gave it to him and ask him to cut these two pieces of 2.4 in half, watching him trying to even get a bite from the saw was hilarious, he turned to me and asked if the wood was wet because the saw wasn't cutting lol. Cruel i know but it was so funny watching him struggling and trying to figure out why the saw wasn't cutting and not once did he actually look at the saws teeth, just kept looking at the wood. Well he was young and needed a bit more training lol. I did apologise for playing the joke on him afterwards though and he did see the funny side of it. Seems your a nail gun collector, i love nail guns but i only have one lol. Why so many?, are you like me in that you could never throw away a working tool?. I must have about 50 handsaws in my shed and most of them are ok. I really love using handsaws and like you i have a small collection of saws. a few of them are actually about 40 years old and are classics, i'll never throw them away.

ok new topic i hate guns lol. Going to play a round of golf tomorrow and this one will be fun, because i managed to get hold of some joke golfballs. Which are slightly weighted to one side, ok to hit but when their on the green they do not roll too straight, my mate is gonna go nuts lol and me and my other mates are gonna convince him his putting isn't too good lol. Just hope he doesn't hit us with a club, when we tell him at the end of the round. Hope he doesn't suss out their joke balls lol. They are actually real golfballs but just not centre balanced. Anything good planned for today or tomorrow?.

Well i hope you never have to fire one in anger. Do the guns have to be registered and with permits?.

I've seen guys trying to balance 40 foot poles on one truck and it's really hilarious, must point not from my yard or my guys lol. I've even seen 1 tonne trucks trying to lift 3 tonne timber packs, these guys were obviously amateurs lol. You really have guns DWM?, i have always wondered how American law stands for owning guns. Not sure if this is right, but i've heard all Americans do have the right to own a gun for family protection. Here in England it's totally illegal to own any form of firing weapon and is an imprisonable offense. Only one exception i can think of, is that farmers here are allowed shotguns with permits to shoot pests and vermin, like foxes and wild rabbits which can ruin crops. Personally i would never ever want to own a gun.

Glad you had a great time, it's always fun in merry Olde England lol. Washed the car the other day and when i come out a couple of hours later, there was two dollops of bird crap on the roof. Do these birds just flying around waiting til you've finished cleaning your car, then come along and crap on it just for fun! lol. That is so annoying, if only i have a gun lol. We did have a little excitement at work, we had to deliver a 36 foot telegraph pole. The longest trailer we have is a 28 footer, on trailers in England your allowed a 4 foot overhang with a long load sign attached to the end of it. So being an 8 foot overhang it had to have a police escort, which our company had to pay for and of cause they weren't happy about that lol. Luckly it was only a short distance to deliver it. Silly thing is, we specialise in long lengths yet we don't have long enough trailers to deliver it. So usually it's delivered by an outside haulage firm, crazy i know, but apparantly it still works out better for our firm by not having extra long trailers to upkeep. It's fun watching the guys putting these long lengths on the trailers though, having to use two forktrucks in unison to each other and takes quite a bit of maneuvering skills. Luckly we have great forktruck drivers here, not including me lol.

Ahh good old MDF, loved by some, hated by most lol. We sell a lot of MDF and all i hear is, if you want something make cheaply, use MDF lol. MDF's very popular here in cheap furniture making like units, tables and various types of cases. I can understand it's popularity because it's easy to work with. Easy to cut and shape and no knots. Bet you've used MDF architraves, i have lol. I prefer using real boards like Far Eastern ply redwood hardwood, very strong and very expensive. Usually used in quality unit making. Carrying a 25mm x2400x1200 sheet, you know your carrying a real board lol.

Some of our big regular customers usually dictate how much they want to pay and we calculate what timber grades can cover that order price. Strange way of doing business i know but it usually works out. Well everyones always after the best price for timber, even though some don't actually want to pay a fair price. We're a timber suppler and cutting mill and also can supply just about any kind of order, like mouldings boards logs telegraph poles, joinery timbers, you name we can get it. Basically we deal in just about every aspect of the timber trade, we even supply nails and screws lol. Sounding like an advert now lol. The only thing we don't do is supply to the general public, because it's company firms only like case makers and builders.

No i don't think the company has anything to hide, their just stupid lol. You problably know there is quite a lot of competition in the timber cutting and supplying trade. Right now we have at least 3 big competitors who we hear through the grapevine occasionally get our contracts usually through a better price, well when i say our contracts, i mean their price bid was lower than ours. But occasionally that can also mean the timber quality may be a lower standard. It's not unheard of for a customer to return timber because it wasn't upto scratch. We deal more in higher graded timber, hence our job quotes are slightly higher, but like the old saying "you get what you pay for". Bit like our tape debate, buy cheap get crap, buy Stanley get quality lol.

Yes it's a tradition in golf, that if you hole-in-one. Your duty bound to buy everyone a drink at the 19 hole aka the club bar lol. Cost me about £80 with my hole-in-one lol. We get freebie t-shirts from a lot of suppliers, the only drawback is they'd have the suppliers logo on of cause and our management doesn't like to advertise other timber companies. So we not allowed to wear them at work, stupid i know, but that's management for you! lol. Last year some of us wore some inside out just to wind the office up and it worked lol. Why is it, management never see the funny side of jokes? lol.
