I miss CO. We (my Mom & I) moved from Montbello to Monte Vista after my dad died (he's buried in Ft. Logan), then after she re-married, we moved back, first to Montbello, then to Greeley. That was in the mid-70s. We wound up moving back to CA in '84, first to Pleasanton, then to Sta Rosa where I lived until '03. Since then I'm here in Reno. Mt Rose just isn't Long's Peak, and Virginia City just isn't Estes Park. Home is where the heart is, and while I have lots of good memories of CA, nothing beats the years I spent in Greeley.
Glad you posted that about no politics it would open a hole ball of wax. And personaly im getting sick of hearing about it all day on the radio. Ill be glad when it is over.
Hey Laranger. Just wanted to tell you that I deleted the last journal thread and made a new one. This one is closed so people won't be able to reply to it. So just in case you were wondering were it went...
Thanks friends; I only wish I could say that my "Intelliegence", "Good judgment", and "Great looks" did this for me but we all know that would be a lil' white lie. it's more like the cream always rises to the top!!! LOLOL
Congrats on your promotion. And go Rockies! I was born & spent some really good years home in Colorado. I really miss driving up the Big Thompson to Estes Park and seeing the Stanley as you come out of the canyon--beautiful place. And I miss camping at Ben Delatour Ranch up by the Red Feather Lakes, and I miss seeing Long's Peak out on the horizon. Mt. Rose & the Sierras are nice, but they just aren't the same.
