Know what I do when I get bug bites? I don't get bug bites (anymore). Last time I recall getting bitten by a bug, I looked it square in the eyes (all bazillion of them) and made it an offer it couldn't refuse (read that as Vito C.) told it in no uncertain terms that the next time it bit me I'd get it, its family, its friends. Told it to pass it on. Sure, on occasion an insect has made some moves to assert itself. They didn't live long after. Hope this distracted you for at least a couple moments and maybe even got a smile or a smirk or a giggle from ya. Laughter, they say, is the best medicine (yeah & who needs penicillin, lasix or quinine, right?) Paz, Ms D!

The muskrats are elusive, but yeah, they are cool. I was walking the dog this morning and we saw a cottontail hopping about just 15 feet away on the other side of the fence. The dog had to get back home ASAP to check to see if my niece's rabbit was safe & sound & in her cage. Was wicked funny watching him A. freak that there was a rabbit outside, B. run out his leash all the way with me tagging behind as fast as I could & C. watch him go bonkers when he got inside and found my niece's rabbit was already here!

I'd forgotten you have American Indian (or do you prefer Native American or First Nations?) ancestry. There was a rumour about having Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) on my Mom' side, but only recently did I find that a branch of her family did have some close connections with the Onondaga Iroquois in NY. I still haven't found a connection that leads to me, so as far as I know I'm just white-bread & mayo (about as white as you can get in other words). But I do have all those relatives near & far who are more diverse racially, sexually, &c. You are who you are so why get hung up over skin colour or something like that? Besides, there's a lot of really interesting cultures out there, eh? Speaking of which (sort of), have you considered forensic anthropology. That's in the physical anthro side rather than the cultural side, but when they find a MIA's or missing person's bones, they usually bring in a forensic anthro to analyze & help ID the person. Follow your heart & gut (with maybe some input from your noggin), and I imagine you'll do well. Oh, remember, Einstein was a patent agent when he got his start, and Jack London did odd jobs, Steinbeck if I remember right worked in a cannery, and so on. Someone much smarter said something to the effect that the only thing that limits our potential is ourselves, and you are strong-willed, intelligent and motivated, so study medicine & write some good fiction too. No need to limit your possibilities, eh? Always, cheers!

Muskrats? OMG that's awesome! BTW my family makes some of the best fried catfish in the world (it's a southern thing I'm sure.)

I also have family that is part African American too. And myself I'm part American Indian so having someone come on here and bash on other races really makes me mad. I'm just glad that I caught it so quick (he had written 3 threads and they were up for about a hour and a half.)

Wow, just saw your tweet. Glad I missed out on whatever was said! One good thing about the genealogy is that I've found relatives who are part-black/African, part-Asian, part-Native American/American Indian, part-Polynesian, part-Maori, part-Hispanic/Latino/Latina, part-Jewish, part-Arab, part-Iranian, part-Pakistani, part-Indian, part-this, part-that. Some who are gay/lesbian, some who are straight, 1 who's going the transgender process. Who am I to judge people based on, quite simply who they are? I guess in short what I'm saying is that while it pains me that you had to ban someone, I'm glad you stood up form whomever was attacked. That's guts. Keep being good, Ms D.

Added a couple photos of critters here at my new digs--muskrats & some catfish (wonder if they like catfish nip?). Hope Sandy Eggo was/is wicked!

Dogs will do that (mark territories, especially new ones). Dog that I am, I can't help myself either (j/k). Have fun in Sandy Eggo (sounds gross, but maybe with strawberry syrup)!

Hola, sorry for the delay (nieces ya dig?). Yep, I meant Ms Stackhouse. What can I say? I like True Blood (mm, yummy!), as well as Being Human (that's a BBC show featuring ghosts, werewolves & vampyres--I like the archaic spelling). And FWIW is short for "for what its worth". Hope you had a wicked time at Electric Daisy (that was like last wekend or the weekend before, no?). Hasta luego, amiga!

That is really, really scary about living next to a...sex offender? I did a check on sex offenders a long while back. I should probably do another one just to see.

Huh...I look like Sookie? Like Sookie Stackhouse? That is awesome!!! And yeah my hair was getting pretty light there for a while but it seems to be getting a tad darker (probably because I haven't had it dyed in a couple months...my hair was getting fried from all the processing.) I like the pink in it right now. It should only last about another month though.

    What does FWIW mean?

Read your answer in the language thread. Well said. You've given folks a lot of latitude here and kept it classy, and not "classy for a porn site" but classy plain and simple. That's the example you set, and for that, among other things, you've got my respect. Cheers

You know, I spend a lot of time on Twitter (too much probably), but something had been bugging me for a while now. Finally figured it out. At some point, not sure when, I "stopped" following you. I put that in quotes because I know I didn't stop following you, but at some point, not sure when, something happened. Anyway long story short, don;t turn around ...BOO! I'm followin ya again ()
