Recently...the Tuscan Treasure photo update. The Banana Heaven, Raindrop Masturbation, and Security Conscious video updates are all pretty hot. I love all the new Hawaii and holiday shoots.
Yep, I'm doing fine! And your site looks like it's doing well, too. I haven't joined just yet, but I can see you've had some pretty awesome updates. Any favorites in particular?
Gawd...it's been forever! I'm glad that you are doing okay though. I'm always a little concerned when people dissapear off the board. I haven't watched the Legend of the Seeker tv show. I actually just got a television a couple months back and cable a few weeks back. I will probably watch it when it comes out on dvd though.
Hey, Danielle! Long time no type! It's been... since November, I think. ha ha. I apologize for being totally MIA; last fall I decided I would try something new: no more porn - pay or otherwise. 'Cause, you know, it can be addicting. Well, here I am, lol. Just writing to see how you are. And, if you're wondering, I am now totally into Legend of the Seeker. It got off to a shaky start, but it really picked up, in my opinion - really looking forward to Season 2 this fall.
Hey Ryan...just seeing how everything is going with you. Haven't chatted with you in awhile. So anyways...I hope you have a Merry Christmas, or Happy Hanakah, or whatever else you celebrate.
OMG...I am so excited to see the "Song of Ice and Fire" series...that is going to be freaking awesome and especially since HBO is doing it. The thing with the "Sword of Truth" series, it's not made for a "Disney" audience. It is an adult series with adult situations and probably would be best if it were made into a movie and rated PG-13 or R. Plus the actors/actresses that they hired are completely wrong for the show.
Question: Does negative reaction to Legend of the Seeker make a second season less likely? I know many fans of the book are harshly speaking out against the series, but I love the show. — Maria O.
Matt Roush: The worst thing that could happen to a show like this is for it to be ignored by its fan base. The show did not get very positive reviews (including from me), and I'm not keeping up with fan reaction, positive or negative. But what will determine Seeker's future has all to do with business: how well it performs in syndication for the local stations and how well it sells in the overseas markets. I haven't seen any early returns yet, but Disney has made quite an investment with launching this new fantasy series into syndication, so I'd expect them to stick with it unless it proves to be an utter dud. But while I'm on the subject of TV fantasy, I wanted to revisit the topic of HBO's adaptation of George R.R. Martin's A Game of Thrones (the Song of Ice and Fire series). HBO has officially green-lit a pilot, based on a truly terrific (though currently still unfinished) series of novels. This is no guarantee the show will go to series, but it's a good sign.
I'm anxious to see those returns; it'd be interesting if the show caught on more with people that haven't read the series.
The books are amazing...definitely addictive. You definitely should watch them after you get done with the first season. Personally I don't like the actor that is playing Richard and I don't like the actress that is playing Kahlan. If you read the books you will see what I mean. Richard should not be played by someone who is scrawny and looks like he should be in a boy band. And Kahlan should be played by someone better looking than the actress who is playing her now.
Well, I watched the two-hour premiere of Legend of the Seeker on WGN America this evening, Danielle, and I thought it was good. Some parts were a little cheesy here, a little convenient there, but it was enjoyable overall. The acting was decent and the action was good. And I like the actress who's playing Kahlan, hehe. I experienced some Déjà vu, too - it was like I was back in the '90s watching Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Xena: Warrior Princess all over again (LOTS is filmed in New Zealand, too, and is made by the same producers and even features some of the same cast members). I haven't read the books, though; I'm gonna have to do that.
