That is, after he gets out of jail (http://uk.news.yahoo.com/5/20091028/tuk-biker-jailed-after-166mph-speeding-t-45dbed5.html).
However Sheriff John Horsburgh told Purves: "The speed at which you were driving this motorcycle makes a custodial sentence the only appropriate one."

What's amazing is that they caught the guy. I remember some years back passing a local sheriff going in the opposite direction while I was hard on the gas on a bike I owned then. Was shifting out of fourth into fifth at about 9000 rpm. Can only guess how fast I was going. It was in the days of the federally mandated 85mph speedometer. As I passed the guy, I looked back and saw him tap his brakes momentarily. He kept going, and so did I!

whohoo, 166mph -- they do get overexcited about that, don't they? I'm surprised they got him, especially on a bike. Its much harder to get away with a car...

No kidding. If you are on a bike, just go, dude. Cops don't have anything fast enough to catch you, and even if they have a chopper up, it's pretty easy to disappear.

I will race Rob when I get my 1995 3000GT VR4 Twin Turbo finished at www.3sx.com completed.
Take a peek at the work they do... http://www.3sx.com/racing/default.asp#t4vid
That's what you call a biker, even though he got caught. That's way their anthem is called "Scotland the Brave" takes a brave Scottie to ride 166mph down the a702 motorway.:D
