the chances are that the person who contacted you is indeed a deceiver.
We've heard stories of "Danielles" who allegedly were stuck in Nigeria or Afghanistan and needed help to get out while we knew for fact that our real Danielle was safe and sound in Phoenix, Arizona.

Photos from a lot of models are used to lure unsuspecting people to do something they normally wouldn't do, namely give their money to complete strangers. Don't do that. At best you'd give an imposter a month's food, at worst you'd support organized crime. You'd never see that money again, and most likely wouldn't even receive a "Thank You."

Sadly, we can't do much about those frauds other than inform the people and report fake profiles (like in Facebook and Myspace) to the respective platform administrations.
