I have just received the news that the logo that I created for the Laugh At Cancer Organization, which I have helped build and I am listed officially as the IT Manager, has been viewed by the predident of the United Staes and he has given his approval of it as well as recognition for the organization! I am so pumped by this news! We are really going strong now and may, one day, have some sort of talk show segment dedicated to us! I am fast becoming speechless but I had to post this news. This is a big WOW for me! :)

That is fantastic, WhyYou--that's great for L@O, that's great for cancer survivors and that's great for you! A distant cousin (long-time friend & my bro's best man) is a Hodgkin's survivor (and he was under 30 when he got it; so far his PET scans have been clear) & my step-grandma is a breast cancer survivor.

Oh, I did, back when you first mentioned the logo to us--I thought it was fantastic design-wise, and after looking over the site, I found the philosophy very compelling. There's that line from Hamlet that goes something like, "You cannot, sir, take from me anything that I will more willingly part withal, except my life." Cancer, diabetes, heart or liver disease, all those lovely chronic diseases take a toll, but the one thing someone dealing with them cannot afford to lose is their sense of humour--you lose that, and its game over, man, game over (to quote from Aliens, or Stewie from Family Guy). Again, WhyYou, brilliant job.
