I know I'm new to this board--& I can't find the "Danielle looking for a boyfriend/girlfriend" thread anymore--but with tomorrow being Valentine's Day, it got me thinking. Admittedly, it's a long-shot that you'd date a total stranger just because they write something nice on your board, but there's always the chance that fate could be at work. And I did see you mention that another model found her husband through her website, so what the heck.
There are a lot of guys (& girls) out there who'd be happy just to have sex with you. I know you're only 20; maybe you're not necessarily thinking long-term, but I hope you'll look deeper than outward appearances. From reading what you've written & seeing your video answers to questions, I think you're a thoughtful girl. You come across as sweet & kind. You have aspirations for a life beyond modelling, & you sound interesting. I hope you'll only stay with someone who truly appreciates these qualities in you. In my experience, there are a lot of girls in their early 20's who--I don't know if they want to be mistreated, but they don't really want to be treated well. I'm not sure if it's a self-esteem thing or what, but they push away guys who should be keepers & keep guys who hit them or keep them down. Please don't be one of those girls, Danielle. You should hold-out for someone who's really happy to spend time with you, someone you look forward to seeing & who looks forward to seeing you. And I mean that in more ways than just "in the bedroom". Someone who loves you when you're sick, who gets sad when you're sad (but also tries to cheer you up) & makes your happy times happier. Someone who cares about the things you care about. Someone who's on your side, no matter what. That's a key. I've seen friends' marriages dissolve because they didn't have each others' backs. What's the point of being with someone if you feel like you're alone, right?
When I say someone who appreciates you, obviously, you don't want someone who's subservient or needy for you--you should want someone who adds to your experiences, who teaches you & learns things from you. There's a lot in the world to see & do, & experiencing it with the right person can make it much more fun & memorable. He should realize how wonderful you are, & you should both feel excited when you know you'll be together again soon. Really, sex is important--& you're a truly breathtaking girl--but I hope you want someone who's not just killing time with you so he can say he had sex with a porn model. You're beautiful, but there's a lot inside you as well that should be valued & encouraged & celebrated. You deserve to be treasured.
One more thing: a real friend or boyfriend will give you good advice, not easy advice. You know how you're having your tattoos removed? You don't want to have to undo something you regret again, & someone worthwhile would really consider things that are good for you & offer a well-though out opinion.
If I met you, I'd want to draw you--I'm thinking about doing a few drawings & posting them in a new thread. Hope you'll like them.
