View Full Version : FTV/Danielle site usage

I don't know if this is an appropriate subject for discussion or not. It occurred to me while I was at my gym watching all the nubile young chicks in their workout duds.
How do members of FTV and of Danielle's site access and use their videos and photographs? Do you watch the clips as streaming video? Do you download all the clips and save them on a hard drive - maybe for later viewing? Do you use an editor to connect them into one long video for each model? How many actually download all the photos and save them? Or, just quickly browse through them and get to the clips?
Once the material is downloaded, does everyone sit in front of their computer and chock the chicken? Maybe put it on a thumb drive and watch it somewhere else like in the bedroom? There is just SO MUCH media on FTV, alone, that it's overwhelming. Now, we have Danielle's site and, maybe, the pending FTVX site.
Anyone want to venture a comment? To get the ball rolling, I download all the photos and video clips for models I like. Some just don't appeal to me. So far, I've saved ALL of Danielle's videos and photos from her site. And, from time to time, I admit to sitting here in front of my computer with a little "something something" going on in my hand.
okay, i download the videos of the girls i like. again, not all appeal to me either. pictures depends on the model. some models have a "your taking my picture" smile or look. i don't care for those. i want to have a more natural look to them. i do have all of Danielle's pictures. then i view them when the mood strikes. just recently i decided to use the computer equipment to create a DVD of a couple HD Danielle videos to play on my HD TV... wow, the quality was amazing.

I'm sorry if this is a bit off-topic, but how do you do that? I want to link the video clips together and burn them on a DVD in a format that will play on a standard DVD player. What software do you use? I would love to watch the videos on my TV rather than my computer. Thanks!!

I was asking about that back before the site went public and got some hints/tips from Ryan and others which you'll find in the Tech Talk section in General Discussions. I'm still working out some of the bugs, but I'm no where near tech savvy, savvy? (to quote the other captnjack!)
without going into to much detail... i just used what i had on my computer. i have Nero (its a CD burning software.) and it has its own video editing software. honestly, all i did was import the video files, then used by regular dvd burner to burn them on blank DVDR disks. any newer DVD player would be able to play them. if you have an early model DVD player, it might have a hard time with burned DVD disks. didn't use any effects or anything... well, i did add titles but those were preset and i just had to click and type a name.

I stream them from my laptop to my xbox 360 using windows media center. It's a lot easier than transferring them to flash drive or dvd and the HD videos look sick on my HDTV!

I've only seen my videos on my monitor, never on an HDTV. I've been curious to see how they look.

Well I have all of FTVGirls and AlisonAngel and DanielleFTV all stored on a massive Hard drive (a very hard drive). The problem is where to draw the line, referring to how much should I download or rather which version should I download. If I were a single bloke (which I think most folks here are, but I'm not) then no problem, download the best version available. But I have limited myself to the Mid HD version unles it is truly great set as it is unlikely to be seen on a screen larger than my monitor.
Having a good filing system is also very important whether you create your own offline browser page, or use a spreadsheet (yes Excel does have other uses) or just remember who the girls are.
As I said mine will probably only ever been seen on the monitor but that's good enough for me !!

As for downloading the whole FTVGirls site, wow that's like 1.2 TB of data.
Well it's taken me several years and between my 2 PC's I got 4 or 4.5 TB of space, so plenty of room. Just need a faster processor and gfx card (think I might nick my son's) !!

I've used both the 8000kbps HD and the next level down on my PS3 & 51" HD TV. To be honest, they both look great. However the 8000kbps can't play on my PC, so most that I download are the next level down.

When I was an FTV member (oh, woe is me ...;)) my PC couldn't support HD. That PC crapped out on me (must have taken a trip to Vegas when I wasn't looking, dirty bastard!), but the PC I'm using now can. Fortunately, I did download a couple HD vids from FTV and they look superb.
Also, taking the suggestions made by board members way back at the beginning of this board about editing the clips into 1 continuous video, I've made a few DVDs which I play on my TV, both HD & Mid-level def--alas, my TV isn't HD, but the picture looks really great regardless.

I would very much like to stream and/or download the entire video as one file, instead of all these little short clips as it is now.
I can do that on sites such as Hogtied and Fucking Machines, and that is much more practical, I think.

I've been using NeroVision to join the clips together and burn them to a DVD. They look great on my HDTV although they're not "true" HD since I don't have an HD DVD burner or player.
My main question is, and I guess it's a question for Rob. Why aren't the videos in full 16:9 widescreen instead of being "letterboxed"? When I watch them on my TV, I have to change the aspect ratio to "zoom" in order to get rid of the letterbox. If I watch them with the "normal" aspect, like other videos. The bands at the top and bottom make the video appear squashed. This happens on my computer monitor too, but I can't get rid of it there. Is there a way to correct this so I don't have to zoom? FTV is the only site where I've seen this. The older FTV videos that used 4:3 play fine without having to change the aspect ratio on my TV. Any experts out there know what I can do? I'm absolutely stumped!

Its an HD WMV issue, wmv's are formatted differently unfortunately, that isn't recognized by some software.
