I took a look-see at Tina's update on FTV and, without even looking for Rob's comments on the video pages, I just knew from the photos that it was NOT Rob's work. Again, we get a "contributor's shoot" which lacks any of Rob's skill and technique. I won't even download the photos let alone the videos. It's just not FTV quality - in MY mind. I'm sure others will LOVE Tina and disagree with me. Oh Well.....!!!!:(

I have not seen Tina's update yet so I don't know if I like it or not. I know Rob has been really busy with the shoot for Playboy TV, Lia's site and with preparations for the launch of Danielle's memember's site. I imagine Rob is burning the candle at both ends about now and I certainly can cut Rob some slack and accept an update from a contributor.

I didn't mean this as a complaint! I am sure Rob is busy beyond belief! I just don't think "contributors" can match Rob's skill when it comes to model updates.;)

the update isn't that bad now jeez.

She seems very plain to me. Her breast is sooo ..... small.
Although i can tell that it was not shot by rob, the video and photos are not that bad. tina is cute but not really my favorite model. i like more curves... just a personal preference.

I'm with you. Tina's cute, but too thin for me. Like they say, different strokes for different folks. That's why FTV is great, something for everybody :)

I haven't seen all videos and photos yet, but I also think Tina is cute.
What the photographer lacks in technique, Tina makes up with enthusiasm.
At some moments, she even reminds me of Violet.
I don't think she's "too flat" either. She looks just fine to me, representing the "girl next door".

Ya .... that's the point. We like FTV :)

The update isn't that bad at all.
I've seen all videos now, and a good share of the photos.
I like that Tina speeks to us through the camera. In some scenes she falls silent though.
The videos are a bit shaky sometimes, but the quality improves throughout the shot.
We know nothing about the photographer. He might be a fellow of Rob, using his own equipment. But he also might be Tina's boyfriend, working with borrowed gear. In the later case, I think the shot is way better than most of us could handle. It's definetly FTV material, and I'm glad it made it onto the site.
I'm sadly missing the comments from videographer and model, though. I think they are an integral part of each update. I like to look behind the scenes.;)

The guy doing it is the same guy who did the Vanessa update a few months back; he's getting a bit better. Its someone I know who I've been mentoring for 5 years (!). He's a guy who is very good at recruiting and finding models, hence the total first time Vanessa and Tina.

The Zip file for the Cucumber Find set contains small pics

Thanks

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. I was looking forward to viewing the cumcumber set and was very disappointed at the teenie tiny size of each photo compared to the USUAL size. :(
I was also a little put off by the TEN photo sets. Especially, when they were numbered 1-5 and then started over with 1-5. I couldn't download all the photos without same numbered ones bumping out earlier ones. If there are more than five sets, the photos should be numbered "600s", "700s", "800s", "900s", and "1000s!":p

her application photos were missing, I've added them to her members' area. About the last photoset, I no longer have them, unfortunately the mess with the guest photographers' pics -- I don't even know where the originals are.

Maybe its just me, but I didn't find the update all that bad. Tina was cute, the photographer/videographer wasn't Rob, but then again Rob had a bit of a head start to refine his work before he even thought of launching FTV. In most cases, it takes a good 10 years of good, solid work to develop a feel for this sort of thing (and by that I mean photography in general). So for a newer guest photographer to come in every now and again, c'est la vie--its better than I could do, I'm sure. You learn how to feel these shoots out, learn body language, how to read expressions, read the lighting and adjust the camera settings accordingly and so on. In a way it part like a hunt, and part like a dance where the photographer is one partner, the model the other (the question I have is whose leading?). Edward Weston, a brilliant photographer, used to let his models just move and when he saw something special asked them to hold for his photo. Other photographers look at every minute detail, asking the models to move their hand, an elbow, their head, whatever even just a fraction of an inch to get their shot. So for me watching a guest update isn't the same as watching one of Rob's--its like looking at what might be a diamond in the rough, and having watched virtually everything Rob has done from 2005 on, I have to say that even with the practice he brought to FTV in the beginning, if you watch his older work then something more recent, you can tell that throughout he's refined, cultivated and crafted his own style little by little so that what looked like a diamond in 2005 when compared to what he's done now in Nov 2008 the older work looks a little more like cubic zirconia and what he's doing now is just simply dazzling. So there you have my own 2 cents' worth (which is more than its true value, sure). As an FTV update, it doesn't compare to what Rob can do, but compared to a lot of stuff out there its not that bad (for more humdrum, or as Rob put it, "sterile" guest updates see Faith & Lori from 2004--very lovely gentlewomen, but the videographers/photographers were clearly not well versed with the cameras, nor as easy-going with the gentlewomen which left those updates rather stilted and generic. Tina's update was a bit more open, even if more akin to something you'd find at any other FTV wannabe website. Of course there's another aspect of the guest shoots to consider--while Tina's wasn't up to what Rob is capable of doing, without those guest shoots to hold up next to Rob's we might not realize just how much of a genius Rob is!
