Double standards about pornography

So Mum & Dad found out and now she won't be working in porn anymore?

Some girls will say they do porn for themselfs but when someone like there parents finds out they stop and that's the end of that!

And yeah of course some parents won't understand!

I like porn and i like FTV! So i see all the good stuff that comes with it! Like the outdoor stuff!!

But some parents will just see there daughters doing porn and all the bad stuff what comes with it!! Like there daughters masturbating in public!!

But i think there is just as many parents out there who respects there daughters chose in career!!

Ron Jeremy, the king of porn himself, said that there is a double standard here. It's OK for our sons to do it but not our daughters. This is one reason I have a double standard for fathers. When I see a boy's father, I think "Wow, this guy is a great role model, he's doing a good job raising his son, I salute him." When I see a girls father, I think "Wow, this guy has the nerve to yell at a guy for sleeping with his daughter, and doesn't say a damn thing to her. What an ***." Sometimes I think to myself "You're not a father, until you have a son." This leads me to believe that Rob has been yelled at by several parents. Note that I do not have a sister and this is just what I observe.
Something that is even sadder is that I live with people in the dorm (not my parents) that have a problem with just masturbation period. They said that they would spank their sons for looking up porn, or even just masturbating. I told them "That's very Christian of you, believe what I say or I'll assault you." They didn't get that. I told them that my parents have raised 2 male children and are now quite aware that it is normal for your son to view porn, they were freaked out at first, but now they are understanding of both me and my brother (even though he does a better job of covering it up than I do.) There are just some things in this world that piss me off, and this is one of them. :mad::mad::mad:

P.S. I am wondering why the moderators remove swear words here. We're all adults here, what's the problem, I had some places here where I wanted to swear? also I'm sorry if this is a rant and if it is off topic.

It has to do with the fact that girls can't do porn, but guys can. Most parents are not accepting of it.

When the parents finds out it's then upto them to either accept what there son or daughter does for a living! And if they don't accept it! Well then they don't!

Maybe it's a kind of parental protection reflex. (We know Porn can be a very hard business.) I think it might even have subconcious roots. Most parents don't like the idea of their children, especially daughters, to be sexually active outside an approved relationship.

The social background may also have an influence: "What if Aunt Suzy/my coworkers/Mrs Parker down the street/Priest Simmons finds out?"

Yeah i think your right there! Like i said before i like porn! But to a lot of people porn is just something they wouldn't want there sons or daughters ever doing!

I guess in some parents eyes they bring there kids up and puts them through school so they can get a good education so they can find a good job in the future!

So when they find out that there son or daughter has done porn it probably will be a bit of a kick in the balls for them!

But the only thing i will say is! Because porn is so big now and so many people do get in to it! Porn is a very big business! So maybe and just maybe the parents can see it as just another career choice!

Because as we all know there is bad porn out there and there is good porn out there!

Well in my opinion i think this could a be a very tricky poll, as in all parents are different and of cause are gonna have their own views on pornography. Maybe based on their religion as well.

I didn't vote, purely because i don't have kids and i don't think i could decide either way.

I do find this thread interesting and the posts of opinions.

All I can say is that I don't plan on having kids, because I hate kids and couldn't care less. But there are people that I have to live with that have a problem with the fact that I like to look at porn. The double standard seems like it's that people might care about their daughters more than their sons. People are more protective of girls, when boys are 6 times more likely to be murdered. But back to porn, it really should depend on the type of porn that they do. Or if they are yelled at it should be because they might have a hard time getting a job (and being in porn in years past affects job performance how?)

I don't see that as a double standard. It's just preference. I like boy-girl but don't care for anal. It's just my preference. To call that a double standard would require labeling a lot of things as "double standards" - blonde vs. brunette, shaved vs. hairy, etc.

To me, it's a double standard to say that a woman is "wrong" to do one thing versus another. But for what I choose to watch, it's preference. I prefer to not watch scenes with anal in them but I don't feel that the model is "wrong" for making participating in such a scene (so long as the activity is legal).

And that's my point!! Some guys on here do think it's wrong for a model to do something that they don't like when at the end of the day it's upto the model what she does!!

I like hardcore & softcore! So i say let the model do what she likes! And if you don't like something she does then just don't watch it!

But don't say it's wrong or a bad career choice! Which some do!

they way to look at it is like this, to do porn that we watch you need a man and a woman (forgetting any sort of gay porn and lesbian) so if a womans dad watches porn, he is watching some ones daughter, it's a tad silly to then say his daughter can't do it.

So, the point is this we are all some ones kid's, male or female.
