Hi Rob,

I am just wanting to know what camera equipment you use for the FTV shoot's you do, also is there any way you could take a shot of the camera equipment, and list what they are.

I know this may sound like a silly thing but I am just wanting to know and see what you use, if this is ok with you I mean.

Thanks for your time Enigma2

I use the Nikon D3 with the 70-200 F2.8 D lens, (that is, until it got smashed, and now I'm using the D700 temporarily).

For Video, its been the Canon XH-A1 HD, and for 2007 and earlier, it was the SD camera Canon GL2.

XH-A1 isn't necessarily the best quality HD camera, but its the most versatile with manual operation. Because my shoots aren't in a studio, I must be able to change the aperture and shutter speed (as well as white balance temperature) on the fly at any second. I've noticed amateur videographers shoot everything in automatic (actually most adult videographers do, including contributor shooters) hence harsher shadows or darker looking lighting or generally more 'blah' natural light.

Yes indeed Rob uses great gear! You can not go wrong when shooting with the Nikon Flagship D3. Amazing camera indeed! :)

I use the Full Frame Canon 5D Mk II for stills which is better for low light and higher iso with less grain or noise.

I Use the Full HD SONY PMW EX1 for video......

Here is the full size image....

The SONY EX1 is an all out professional level video camera that I am still learning. lol It can change all settings on the dial in an instant as well, its just that it has more picture settings and details that need to be learned for each shooting scenario...

screw the camera equipment. i like the carvin amp. always thought about getting one but since they are mail order only (except for a few store out west) i never did. how is the sound? are you using any seperate effect or just plugging straight into the amp? and a BC Rich with a strat style body. didn't even realized that they made them. they were more known for their wild body shapes (warlocks, etc). is that a twin blade for the front pick up? did you get it custom painted or did you buy it that way?

I customize all of my guitars...

I always plug straight into the amp to get true amp tone first, and run my effects thru the effects loop.

I am more into Jackson and Ibanez myself

The Carvin V3 is one hellava beast! I love its tone and crushing power!
Here I am playing the V3 Amp..

I am sold on the amp.

i have a small collection of guitars... i like to get most of my tone from the guitar and amp, then effects. i know with new effect you get any sound you want but to me its still missing something. maybe its just me. i have a Charvel from when Jackson owned Charvel. one of my favorite guitars.

Great video. your a good guitar player. i will have to check out more of your videos when its not so late and not so tired.
