New found appreciation

So I found some new appreciation for my favorite site...FTV of course. I was in the Phoenix area for holidays and being an outdoor enthusiast, decided to to take a run up Camelback Mountain one day.

First the humor of being from the northwest and an avid hiker and mountaineer, I had to laugh that it is called a "mountain"...it is more of a hill, but still fun nonetheless.

But wait, what sites did I see? some very familar landscape from my favorite FTV videos, I had no idea that is where many of the shoots take place but now I have an alternative appreciation for my new favorite mountain!

It is a bump.....to see real mountains you have to go to the Pac-West!!

Ahh yes Natal, I see you are not far from me up in Vancouver, it was funny to hear everyone talk about Camelback "mountain". I climbed Mt. Adams last year and hike the North Cascade peaks often. I am planning to summit the entire west coast range of volcanic peaks in 2010, starting with Baker in the north all the way down to Whitney in socal.

I will let you know next time I come down, I like my mountain climbing but prefer the sun so I escape often in the winter. I am actually looking to move down that way, but I like the water so San Diego is my target. Unless you want to hire me, I could pick up the girls at the airport and take them to lunch etc to leave you time to edit video:D
